Illustrations for Window Displays – Notch8 Restaurant, Fairmont Hotel Vancouver: Afternoon Tea in the Window.Large scale illustrations for an interactive dining experience.
FHV wanted to transform their window by using a large-scale illustration backdrop to create a sense of depth.
I liked the idea of an exterior street scene inside an interior space – a kind of fantasy world through the window glass for each passerby to stop and peer into.
White vinyl elements on the window panes were created to provide an extra layer of depth, as well as, a vignette frame to draw focus to the centre scene.
The fashion illustration figure cutouts of seated dining guests are the focus of the scene.
